Why people use POP ya?
I've been using web-based e-mail for years, first with Yahoo and Google Gmail. When I had dial-up service, it was more practical to download messages and view them offline. But now that most people have broadband connections, there seems little reason to use a POP mail client like Outlook, Eudora or Thunderbird. I see little justification for companies due to intellectual property issues and paranoia of espionage, but a user why the general public still use POP. Gmail (and probably Yahoo, Hotmail, etc) has about 8 GB of mail storage of users, online management, do not worry about backup, the ability to access their email from any computer, etc. How POP compete with that?
Know No, I have long since ceased to ….. Why not let the issue of Yahoo malware and spam? Infections e-mail is dropped off the face of the earth after I took this decision.
